Share My Ability – Sensory Activity Centre

Overview

Share My Ability is a new and exciting Sensory Activity Centre located in Penrith. The first of its kind within the Nepean region, it will offer the local community a purpose built recreational space to play and learn in a supported, safe and inclusive environment. It features state of the art interactive and inclusive play equipment, in addition to a dedicated sensory room, retail support products and an onsite café.

It is owned and operated by NADO (Nepean Area Disabilities Organisation), a registered NDIS Provider that has over 40 years of experience within the disability sector.

We are searching for an experienced and energetic Barista to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the hospitality industry and enjoys working with people. The Barista plays a key role in our energetic team who are driven to provide excellent customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a fun atmosphere where both customers and employees have a great experience that’s welcoming and engaging.

The Role 

You will be responsible for making quality coffee and other hot and cold drinks, serving food and snacks to customers from within the centre and take away orders. You will also be required to document stock levels, stock rotation and receipt of stock.

Essential Criteria

  • You present with a minimum 6 months experience as a barista
  • Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service
  • Have a positive can-do attitude
  • Demonstrates excellence customer service skills
  • Is efficient and can manage busy environments

Desirable 

  • Have a certificate in Food Handling and/or Food Safety
  • Have (or willing) to obtain a NDIS Worker Clearance, Working with Children’s Check and a First Aid Certificate
